Just like Ray Caesar....or Batman

I've had a crush on Ray Caesar's work since I stumbled with one of his pices. A lovely big eyed girl in a mask...which felt unusual and unsetting. I've been seeing many artists create work inspired by this masks since my first encounter with Caesar's work. So when I saw this hair, it made me think of Ray Caesar. Though of course it'd also be a pretty awesome accesory for a catwoman costume also.

This hair and most of the other items shown here belong to Cinema, which starts on october 13th, and as the name says, it's about movies of different genres.

If you remember it, it's not vintage, it's age.

Not really, but getting all smiley about old cameras, mouse ears and jackets, does push me back to the...I'm already old enough to have owned those things and had pushed them into a dark corner of my wardrobe.

There's been a lot going on SL as of late and I haven't been able to keep up with it all yet. There's some events going on, sales, store closures..so much to see, so much to shop for..and I'm working ona  big project at the moment I'll soon let you all know about ^^.

So, here's an outfit I've put up with some items from the arcade gatcha event (There's a hell lot of adorable, fun and pretty things there, and a lot ofthe items are transfer, soa  good place to get gifts for friends.)

The shoes are for Rockoil, I'm really fond of the checked fabric around the ankle, The store has many other fun heels and boots, with different accesories (if you ever feel like dressing like the wizard of Oz's Dorothy..there's red glittery boots....just sayin')

Top and ears are from Auxiliary, ears are findable at the Arcade, same as the camera from Tee*fy. And the hair is a recent release from Tameless, it  felt like a really hairband friendly hair and I just love the color.

Another from Vintage Fair 2012

As I said on the previous post, there's a few days remaining from Vintage Fair if you haven't been there, you still got a last chance to stop by.

I didn't want to be Bowie.....if there's something SL has given me, its both the guts to try and mix and match that which i had considered unmatchable at all- and not really mind what everyone else thinks of it!- and also, SL has given me someone that knows about music more than what I'll ever know. So, thanks to her, I learnt that Bowie, his style, and this makeup belonged to something called glam....that had not a lot to do with what the word meant to me. (If you live in south america..you probably know what I mean) So being Bowie required a lot more of info than what I had at hand.

But the makeup was bold, and red, and...there was this big photogenic hair from Tameless...so, forgetting that rule of 'it you do something big and bold with your outfit..keep the rest simple' I just put on both things together...and ..I don't know what anyone else could think, but, it makes me want to go attack a guitar..or a keytar as if I actually knew how to play it

....well..not really..but it does make me want to go dosomething pretty bold...will tell you all..when I figure out what that is

I'm not a pink person, but for some reason I felt like trying something soft and feminine, and this is what I came up with...  pastels...pastels that would have embarrassed my sl av two years ago, but that now feel pretty good to wear (yes..SL has made me rediscover there's more than black clothes in life ^^)  The skin is from Modish, and it comes in different tones and with and without cleavage, and I don't know why, I really believe its knees are adorable.

Vintage Fair II

Here's another Vintage Fair post. The event will be running from August 4th to August 29th. there's a flickr contest going on...and all the info you will need is here: http://www.chic-management.com/

I got this hair at Hair Fair some days ago, and I haven't really taken it off since. Laviere's  Creative dye pack is really fun, I'm in love with all the color options.

The dress is from Aris Aris, it can be worn with or without the jacket (you might need to try a bigger size for the jacket than the dress for them to fit fine) but it can be worn perfectly fine without the jacket also. Shoes and skin last. shoes are from Chachadee, and just lovely, they are inspired in the 50's but I can picture them going perfect with any modern soft and feminine outfits also. and last the skin, it's been out for some weeks at Mother Goose, and it probably will be for a long while (dollarbies are around the store for a couple of months or more usually).

And last, the poses, the Lamp post form Motionless actually comes with poseballs for two to pose at the same time, but they were still fun poses to use alone.

Vintage Fair

Vintage Fair 2012 is starting this August 4th the event is three sims wide and there's many vendors (like Aura, Trompe L'oeil. coldlogic, Purple moon creatinons..and a lot lot more)  offering fashion, poses, furniture and many other things inspired in many different decades. If you want to know more about the event, please look at: http://www.chic-management.com. Once the event begins, you'll find a list of surls and a map to help yourself move around the event. And last, but not least, Chic management is holding a flickr competition. You'll find more info about it here and the flickr group is: http://www.flickr.com/groups/vintagefair/

This was my first Vintage Fair 'crush' I saw Jordanna Hamaski from Shabby Chic wearing it as soon as i tped to the venue, and it was just beautiful and unexpected. I know that vintage doesn't just mean 80's , 70's and 60's, but it wasn't what i expected to find as soon as i tped in. The full assemble, which she had on, includes a shirt with ruffles for under the corset and a lovely long shift. But I felt like playing with it and seeing how else it could be worn, and it still looks lovely without the undershirt. It's just very feminine and soft, that the Camille skin from La Petite Morte just seemed the perfect one to go with it. La Petite Morte has made two skins inspired on the Edwardian Era, inside their package you'll find a note talking about the events and inspiration to create them.

And last, the poses are also from Vintage Fair, by Motionless. It's a six pose pack that comes with a small hud to wear and just go trough the poses (really handy ^^)
