Vintage Fair

Vintage Fair 2012 is starting this August 4th the event is three sims wide and there's many vendors (like Aura, Trompe L'oeil. coldlogic, Purple moon creatinons..and a lot lot more)  offering fashion, poses, furniture and many other things inspired in many different decades. If you want to know more about the event, please look at: http://www.chic-management.com. Once the event begins, you'll find a list of surls and a map to help yourself move around the event.  This was my first Vintage Fair 'crush' I saw Jordanna Hamaski from Shabby Chic wearing it as soon as i tped to the venue, and it was just beautiful and unexpected. I know that vintage doesn't just mean 80's , 70's and 60's, but it wasn't what i expected to find as soon as i tped in. The full assemble, which she had on, includes a shirt with ruffles for under the corset and a lovely long shift. But I felt like playing with it and seeing how else it could be worn, and it still looks lovely without the undershirt. It's just very feminine and soft, that the Camille skin from La Petite Morte just seemed the perfect one to go with it. La Petite Morte has made two skins inspired on the Edwardian Era, inside their package you'll find a note talking about the events and inspiration to create them. 

And last, the poses are also from Vintage Fair, by Motionless. It's a six pose pack that comes with a small hud to wear and just go trough the poses (really handy ^^)

Kusama inspired culture shock

No, I don't know if the dress is inspired by Kusama or it's just a happy coincidence..but I love Yayoi Kusama's work, (check her out! ), and when I saw this dress, it just made me think of her.
It's all about polkadots, it comes with a veil/mask a ring, and in three other colors. The floating spheres around it can be detached, but it's so appealing complete. It turns it into more than a cute dress. Though it's stilla  cute dress on its own, It's slightly sheer, yet all your 'private' parts are covered neatly.

So, I had a little walk and stumbled upon a quite intresting sim, Humanoid is a beautiful place to relax and explore, there's doors that lead you to different scenarios and there's some other spots you can see down at the ground level. The photographs in this post were shoot in that location, yet there's more than this to see.

I wanted to feature some items from Cool Beans, the store is closing soon and it's having a sale, so it's a good chance to go and visit. The scarf shown is 22769 for the homme hunt, but it was so pretty and matched the eyes so nice I had to use it (they have a male outfit for the hunt-shir, jeans and scarf). And the skin is Al vulo's new group gift, there's no fee to join, you'll find the gift sign close to the landing area

Growing upside down

I know they are twigs and not roots...but just made me think of that. Wanted to share with you this cute hoodie by Ribbon, which was a subscribers gift some days ago, you surely still can find it if you join the group. Also, the skin worn on the picture, is my first attempt at making a skin, a lot of work still to do about it though.

I struggled to title this post. I know stores close all the time, and that is the way SL is, and other stores just open and it's that way all the time. But as everyone else probably knows, Grixdale, Berries and Sweetest Goodbye are closing (Grixdale is gone already i beleive). They are holding sales till they close, so it's good to have one last chance to pick up all those things you liked.
And being I really enjoyed this stores, I felt I could make a lil post about some of my fave items from them.
(when I did the shoot, Grixdale was still open..but couldnt sit down and get the post out earlier because of rl..i'm sorry)

Soo...I said id blog about stuff I liked from time to time...I said that a year ago though. Everyone who knows me knows I hate pink, terribly, horribly, with all my soul...yet...SL has helped me overcome that matter...I still wont wear it, but I came around this lovely bunch of items, most of them part of the Platinum Hunt Part Deux, so here I'll leave them for you.
