Vintage Fair

Vintage Fair 2012 is starting this August 4th the event is three sims wide and there's many vendors (like Aura, Trompe L'oeil. coldlogic, Purple moon creatinons..and a lot lot more)  offering fashion, poses, furniture and many other things inspired in many different decades.  This was my first Vintage Fair 'crush' I saw Jordanna Hamaski from Shabby Chic wearing it as soon as i tped to the venue, and it was just beautiful and unexpected. I know that vintage doesn't just mean 80's , 70's and 60's, but it wasn't what i expected to find as soon as i tped in. The full assemble, which she had on, includes a shirt with ruffles for under the corset and a lovely long shift. But I felt like playing with it and seeing how else it could be worn, and it still looks lovely without the undershirt. It's just very feminine and soft, that the Camille skin from La Petite Morte just seemed the perfect one to go with it. La Petite Morte has made two skins inspired on the Edwardian Era, inside their package you'll find a note talking about the events and inspiration to create them. 

And last, the poses are also from Vintage Fair, by Motionless. It's a six pose pack that comes with a small hud to wear and just go trough the poses (really handy ^^)

Chic² II

The Chic aniversary event has began, you still have a lot of time to go visit if you haven't yet. But you should stop by some time there's so many beautiful things.

The dress from CIA Designs makes me so happy, the skirt is lovely sculpted and the pattern does make me thing of party lights a lot. You can find the bolero that works really nice with it as a gift at their spot on the event's venue.I can see the bolero working really nice with a light color top underneath and dark pants..and it's free. 

The hair comes with a texture change headband, that also allows tinting, so you can make it match your outfits. The skin is yet another..almost freebie, it's only 1L at the Spring Rain event. I added some color to it with ni.ju's makeup. 

The second one, the dress from Tomoto comes in other colors, it comes with attachments for the upper legs, so the skirt looks really nice when you move. The hair is from Tameless, and it comes with it's own hairbases.

 The skin is from Akeruka, and it comes with cleavage and different lip shade options. And then there's the blindfold, which is just lovely, it's mesh, and also one of the items that first called my atention from the venue..you know..diamonds are shiny.

Chic²

In some days the event to celebrate Chic's second year (the birthday is the 4th!) will begin. It's called CHIC², The event starts on June 3rd...and it's full of awesomeness, each designer has made an exclusive item, and they've put a lot of care decorating their spaces. So, like in their past event, there's soon to be another event related posts from me (so many things i'm looking forward to blog ^^)

Kusama inspired culture shock

No, I don't know if the dress is inspired by Kusama or it's just a happy coincidence..but I love Yayoi Kusama's work, (check her out! ), and when I saw this dress, it just made me think of her.
It's all about polkadots, it comes with a veil/mask a ring, and in three other colors. The floating spheres around it can be detached, but it's so appealing complete. It turns it into more than a cute dress. Though it's stilla  cute dress on its own, It's slightly sheer, yet all your 'private' parts are covered neatly.

Culture Shock 

I'm back from a small..not so small hiatus in which real life decided to take some time form sl. And I'm really excited, why?..because I'm blogging again, and just for a soon to be..almost starting fashion event that also helps people out of sl.

As you may know, or not, CUlture Shock is about to begin. What is this? It's a sim fair event by CHIC Management and sponsored by MODAVIA Productions. You might have been at it last year.

The Proceeds from the event go to Medicins Sans Frontiers (Doctors Without Borders/Médicos Sin Fronteras)

I'll be making a couple more of posts in the next days. But for today this is what I came up with. While I was looking trough the stores I realized that I was picturing the name of the event thinking of the exotic. Ethnical patterns, wooden beads, ceramics, asian designs, fabrics. Yet everything else can fit umder the wing of culture, even those things that are usual. But then, where's the shock on that?. This is what I could come up with ^^

The Shape is from Savoir Faire, it comes with a style card, it looks really cute with the skin it has on the vendor, but I fell in love of the face when wearing this skin (from my ugly dorothy). The hair worn on the pictures (from Tameless) comes with a lovely hairbase of its own. It actually looks as it you combed the hair with gel into a mohawk. But I was tempted to see how it'd look with the head shaven instead, and I really liked the result.

So, I keep on changing picture styles...just out of not deciding how I like to put them up better....and I probably might never settle down on a way XP. I wanted to blog a pair of items from Onyx Noir's winter hunt...a pair of shoes i've fallen in love with..and a lot more.

The hairstyle comes with options for solids and also to color a separate strek in a different color. (Tameless keeps their new releases discounted on their first days). The gingerbread man plushie is part of the Winter Hunt gifts, there's other three of them, all as cute as this one

The second look is based upon the first, just that, being am in the southern hemisphere and here it's almost summer, i felt like making a less warm variation of the first one.

So, i'm not exactly the most often user of gowns, but i saw this one, and it was so beautiful i couldnt resist giving it a try. There's a lot of work done on the flowers, the sculpts are lovely, and I'm really fond of the slightly sheerness of the inner skirt that you get to see on the side. I tried to contrast the hair it with the piercing and skin...i dont know if i managed to do it, but am really fond of the outcome. I hope you like it too ^^
